Vedder in Philadelphia

The magic of Eddie Vedder might be gone. Just came back from the Philly show and I'm somewhat disappointed. A short set for 86 dollars! Liam Finn is ridiculous with his "noise" that he passes off as music, and the fucking crowd....I wanted to murder them all. When did Ed start attracting all the jock douche bags that like to lift their beer after every song and only sing the chorus lines of the songs they know, not to mention scream..."yeah" and "woohoo" at totally the wrong time....everytime. The crowd was full of 30 / 40 somethings who got a sitter for the rug rats, bought way too many over priced warm beers and tried to travel back to a time of their grunge youth. It was white trash....the only black dudes there were security....total white guy music douchebaggery.

Ed was alright.

I think for me, the magic is gone. I don't want to be associated with a crowd like that. If that's who likes Ed these days.....count this Palermo out! After seeing such amazing shows: Neko, all the punk bands I've seen, Rilo, Cursive, The GOod Life....and the list goes on....I'm just not into arena era 90's rock anymore. In fact, I'm out of the 10 club. I'm not renewing. I can't honestly see another time in my life when I'm going to want to purchase tickets to another sasuage fest like the one tonight. Wanna buy some great PJ posters that are already framed? Those are going too.

I'm over this crap!
